Leave a gift in your will

Leaving a gift in your will to CPRE Peak District and South Yorkshire will support local wildlife, natural green open spaces, rural life and the peace, tranquility and outstanding natural beauty of our local landscapes, including the Peak District National Park.

It is nearly 100 years since we were established as a charity in 1924, and our precious countryside is still under threat. And every year, a little more of it is lost.

We continue to provide the vigilance and vigorous campaigning needed to protect the Peak District National Park and the countryside in South Yorkshire, as a source of inspiration, relaxation and recreation for millions of people, and to ensure its unique landscapes are safeguarded for the future. But our funding is limited and we rely almost entirely on the generous backing of our members and supporters.

Whatever the size, every single legacy gift makes a real difference and we are immensely grateful for all that we receive.

Friends of the Peak District has survived and continues to protect Peak District landscapes because of the generous legacies of our founders and their friends – both money and their pioneering conservation work. You can help us continue to be a strong force for good in the countryside by leaving a donation in your will.

Help us keep unnecessary development to a minimum

Whatever level you can give us, your gift will be used to help protect the beauty of our countryside. The Peak District national park faces may threats as climate change and a warmer environment will bring year-round tourism which will, in turn, have a major impact on the already tired transport links. As more roads are built and enlarged to take the increased number of cars, aggregate will continually be extracted from the hillsides of already enlarged quarries.

Please remember us in your will

With the advice of a solicitor, writing a will or changing one to include a gift to our charity is very simple. Our official charity name is CPRE Peak District and South Yorkshire and our registered charity number is: 1094975. Our address: Victoria Hall, 37 Stafford Road, Sheffield, S2 2SF

In Memoriam

Asking for donations instead of flowers at a funeral, is a valuable and positive way to celebrate the life of a loved one. Friends and family know they’re supporting a charity which will fight in their name to keep our countryside a beautiful and tranquil place for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you

We won’t be able to thank you in person when we receive your legacy so we’d like to thank you now! Thank you for helping us face the inevitable threats to our precious countryside in future years, for enabling us to continue our work, and for ensuring the beautiful landscapes you love now, will be protected for like-minded people to enjoy in the future.
