At CPRE Peak District and South Yorkshire, we are incredibly passionate about our work, and we are incredibly proud of what we do. We’ve been protecting the region’s greenspaces, countryside and rural communities for a century, and the work never stops.
We strive to keep Ethel’s incredible legacy alive and protect the countryside so that it can be enjoyed by everyone for generations to come.
Today, as we face increasing challenges from climate change, changing lifestyles and changing agricultural practices, our work is more important than ever. Alongside this, there is an urgent need for housing which puts even more pressure on the countryside.
But there is good news. We know that people are passionate about nature and the environment.
