Blue Heritage Plaque Appeal

We have launched an appeal to raise funds to mark the work of our founder Ethel haythornthwaite with a blue heritage plaque – please donate to support this appeal.

We have partnered with (and are very grateful to) The Sheffield Star, Olivia Blake MP, The University of Sheffield, and Councillor Anne Murphy to launch an appeal to raise funds to mark the work of Ethel with a plaque to be placed near her home in Sheffield.

We believe that a heritage plaque is the least the City should have to commemorate the life long work that Ethel contributed to protecting the landscapes of South Yorkshire and the Peak District.

We hope to unveil the plaque in the autumn.
