Friends of the Peak District

We are, and have been since 1926, the CPRE Branch for Peak District and South Yorkshire.

In 2002, we created Friends of the Peak District as a brand name and worked under two brands for nearly two decades. But the costs associated with administering FPD memberships has increased dramatically. Therefore, we have, as an urgent cost saving measure, removed the option to join the charity via ‘Friends of the Peak District’.

We continue to operate as before. The membership change is purely a cost-saving exercise: there is no change whatsover to our work and our absolute commitment to protecting the countryside in our region.

In order to support our work, we ask our supporters to join CPRE and nominate Peak District and South Yorkshire as their local branch. Your support will then continue to help protect the outstanding natural beauty of the Peak District National Park and the beautiful South Yorkshire countryside.

And as a member of CPRE PDSY, members will still receive copies of Peakland Guardian and our regular enewsletters. You will also receive the CPRE national magazine “Countryside Voices” and can choose to be kept up to date on national CPRE work, campaigns, fundraising and events by email.

Please click HERE to join today. We look forward to welcoming you.

Thank you.
